People are always very quick to complain but slow to offer praise. If you've had good service let people know. I'd like to know if people have had a good experience somewhere.

Couldn't agree more. Whenever the family and I are at a restaurant, my wife and I always make a point of sincerely thanking (and tipping) the waiter/ess upon receiving excellent service. On that note, we've both noticed that if you're polite and friendly to the staff from when you walk in, good service is almost always guaranteed.

Took my son (aged 10) to Underwood hairdressers, the one in the little shopping area opposite the chemist / post office. The place has seen better days (ok, better decades) but the lady who cut his hair was wonderful.

Made a huge effort to connect with him, be the time he left with a very nice haircut they were almost best friends. Very very good value and warm helpful staff.

Total opposite to last experience in another place in Magor - but hey, lets keep this positive and just say we will be going back soon.

Ps, shop next door does industrial quality Sausage Roll too!

What a pleasure to go into the new Waitrose store at Caldicot. The staff were superb and couldnt do enough to help. I'd rather pay that little bit extra for quality products with a quality service.

Me too! It's a brilliant transformation. I hate shopping but Waitrose makes this task almost a pleasure. Yes it's a little more expensive than the predecessor but what a difference in quality and service!!

Heronhurst Windows. Finally after meeting many companies someone who doesnt do the hard sell, lie and offer you a million discounts. Salesman came to house we had a chat i explained what i'd like. He measured up sat down gave me a quote. Why cant other companies do that. So Heronhurst are fitting all new windows and a front door even though i was only going to do the front of the house. A real pleasure to deal with.

Although we have yet to actually move to the area (but look out in 2 weeks time !!) my family and I are so looking forward to it after visiting several times now.
The people we have met throughout the village, the nice lady in the post office, the staff at both the pubs, ladies at Farthings and the compost corner guys in the Wheatsheaf !! Thanks to everybody, we are looking forward to being part of your community.

Had to take my car to the garage yesterday again lol. The garage bent over backwards to help me with my car and even delivered it back to Magor for me. The biggest surprise was the bill i'm wondering where the rest of it is. So a big thank you to all the staff at Thompson and Thompson as the service yesterday was above and beyond what i expected.
