I've lived in Rogiet for (too) many years, and our refuse collection day was always Thursday until about 6 months ago when a council notice was put through the letterbox informing us that our collection day was to be changed to Wednesday "in order to streamline the system" - this morning another council notice has come through the letterbox informing us that our collection day has been changed back to Thursday, "in order to streamline the system".

It beggars belief....doesn't it?:rolleyes:

Now the council have stopped our recycling collections from the supplied black box! What are we to do now if we can't get to the recycling banks in Caldicot? And what do we do with our black boxes, which were left at the kerbside after the final collection last Thursday....?

Update: Having informed us that the black box recycling scheme is no longer in operation, the recycling wagon came round last Thursday! Apparently, the notice was a mistake, but no-one thought to inform us! Ain't that just typical...!
